YouTube Pro Plus

Short version: We store your Google email and subscription status so the extension knows whether you have an active plan. We do not collect your YouTube watch history, search queries, or payment card details. We never sell your data.

1. Who we are

YouTube Pro Plus is a Chrome extension that enhances the YouTube playlist experience. It is operated by an independent developer. You can reach us at ilorieazykiel@gmail.com.

2. What we collect and why

Google account email and Google ID — collected when you sign in with Google inside the extension, using Chrome's built-in chrome.identity API. We use this to create and identify your account and link your subscription status to it. We never see your Google password.
Subscription and trial status — whether your plan is active, on trial, or expired, plus the renewal date. Stored so the extension can unlock Pro features.

3. What we do NOT collect

YouTube watch history, liked videos, or recommendations
YouTube search queries (they go directly from your browser to YouTube's servers)
Credit card numbers or payment details (handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy — we never see them)
Browser history or activity outside of YouTube
Device identifiers or IP addresses

4. How we store your data

Your email, Google ID, and subscription status are stored in a Postgres database hosted on Neon (AWS, US East region). Subscription status is also cached locally in chrome.storage.local on your device for up to 24 hours to reduce API calls.

5. Third-party services

Google OAuth — used for sign-in. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Lemon Squeezy — payment processor. They handle all billing and card data. Governed by Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy. When you subscribe, Lemon Squeezy sends us your email and subscription ID via a webhook so we can activate your plan.
Vercel — hosts our API. Standard request logs may be retained briefly per Vercel's Privacy Policy.
YouTube / Google — the extension interacts with YouTube's internal API to power search and playlist features. This uses your existing YouTube session in Chrome. We do not store or transmit the results to our servers.

6. Data retention

We retain your account record for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your record from our database within 30 days. Local cache data in Chrome can be cleared via chrome://extensions → YouTube Pro Plus → Storage → Clear storage.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Object to or restrict processing of your data
Data portability

8. Children

This extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
